Myreside Willow is a specialist Scottish grower of Willow for River Spiling and Riverbank  Stabilisation – as well as high quality Basketry Willow.  

 

Myreside Willow have been supplying Viminalis for many years a variety of organisations for river spiling and riverbank stabilisation.

In Willow Spiling, live willow rods are woven between vertical live willow uprights, and the space behind is packed with soil and stone.The woven willow takes root and grows, creating a living, machine-free barrier that strengthens over time.

Based in East Lothian, Scotland, we grow all our Willow free of any chemicals or pesticides. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

We supply large growing Willow Rods for River Spiling, Riverbank Stabilisation and for basketry – supplied freshly cut in the period December to March and dried (in the case of basketry willow) during the rest of the year.
